| From
castles to gardens the area is rich in places
to visit and for those with families wanting
a more active holiday there are Oakwood or Grovelands
theme parks only a few miles away and a little
further to the east you will find the National
Botanic Garden of Wales and the restored historic
gardens of Aberglasney. For the golfer there
are several courses in the area, most of which
welcome visiting players. The beautiful unspoilt
coastline of north Pembrokeshire with its magnificent
cliffs and small sandy coves is only a forty
minute drive away. The wonderful beaches of
south Pembrokeshire, where the sand stretches
endlessly, are also close by and are ideal for
family days on the beach.
Visits can be made to cheese and chocolate
farms, Welsh craft shops, potters and makers
of silver jewellery. See the famous cathedral
in St. Davids, Britain’s smallest city,
and numerous castles, ancient iron age forts
and standing stones.
